As a filmmaker, I’ve captured breathtaking scenes from the Canadian Rockies to the temples of Andhra Pradesh, from breaching whales in Alaska to riverboat doctors healing bodies on the Godavari River in India. These tales are etched into the lens of my life.

Amidst ceaseless adventures, I yearned for a sanctuary at day’s end where body and mind could unwind while staying inspired. Such a place was rarely found. Yet, as the saying goes, necessity is the mother of invention, and soon after, Canopy was born.

If accommodations in a client’s desired location are unavailable, we take charge by securing top-notch lodging. We then enhance it with meticulously curated interiors and incorporate personalized support elements.

Noise Policy

Canopy utilizes noise detectors that monitors sound levels and notifies us when it recognizes improper noise levels. We set custom thresholds both during and outside of quiet hours.

Our system also counts the number of mobile devices in the property and alerts us when the number rises, indicating a crowd may be assembling and a need to contact the guest to rectify. Our monitoring units automate guest communication and ensure noise issues are dealt with swiftly and efficiently.

As always, privacy is a priority; our camera-free sensors do not record conversations or store personal data, safeguarding guest privacy.

No Smoking

Our systems also monitor for cigarette smoke and alert us when it is detected indoors, helping protect your stay. These features enable us to monitor air quality and comply with local regulations while respecting guests’ privacy. Canopy will promptly contact any guest with a text message and/or phone call when smoking is detected.

Pre-Screening Guests

Canopy ensures a thorough pre-screening process for all guests prior to their booking. Guests are required to verify their ID, which is cross-checked against terrorist threat registries. For guests in the US, additional checks include criminal records and sex offender registries.

Before arrival, each guest acknowledges and accepts various house rules, including:

No parties or events are allowed.
Smoking is not permitted.
Pets are not allowed.
Only registered guests are allowed on the premises.
Guests are expected to respect the noise curfew and maintain acceptable noise levels.
Illegal substances are prohibited on the premises.
Additionally, all guests acknowledge their responsibility for any property damage.
